Missions and Evangelism

Our church supports worldwide missions through our giving to the Southern Baptist Convention's North American Mission Board and International Mission Board. The faithfulness of our members at the local level makes an eternal impact on the souls of people throughout the world!
We also have an "On Mission Team" that teaches our members about missions according to Acts 1:8 and promotes missions consistently for better awareness and member involvement. This team aims to meet the needs of the lonely, hungry and estranged from Christ.
The On Mission Team is divided into four smaller teams, representing Community Missions, State Missions, North American Missions and International Missions.

Another important part of being an "on-mission" follower of Christ is simply knowing how to share your faith with others. We offer tools and training to anyone interesting in learning how to talk to others about the Gospel.

Thankful for the Harvest

Every fall I anticipate the Milo harvest on our family farm out in Western Kansas. Although it is not as pretty as the waving wheat, it is still harvest time. A time to reap what has been sown. I feel like we are having a “mini” harvest time in our church. The “fields” of people seem to be ready for the Gospel and we are seeing that on nearly a weekly basis. Just two weeks ago I was in a home on the east side of Topeka (one of our newest families to the church) and they were so excited to invite their neighbors over for me to explain to them the meaning of baptism and in the middle of that I was able to share the Gospel and pray for this family who was having to live through the difficulty of having a family member in prison. I am not the only one who shares this passion to see people know Jesus. I was in a restaurant Monday night and one of our deacons was sharing and asking the waiter if he knew Jesus. My son Joshua shares this passion and he will be sharing his testimony with over 200 students tonight at one of our local football stadiums here in Topeka. Lastly, our church is full of people who are living testimonies in your work, your homes, your neighborhoods and in our church! May God give us One More! Bless you church and have a great Thanksgiving!
