Missions and Evangelism

Our church supports worldwide missions through our giving to the Southern Baptist Convention's North American Mission Board and International Mission Board. The faithfulness of our members at the local level makes an eternal impact on the souls of people throughout the world!
We also have an "On Mission Team" that teaches our members about missions according to Acts 1:8 and promotes missions consistently for better awareness and member involvement. This team aims to meet the needs of the lonely, hungry and estranged from Christ.
The On Mission Team is divided into four smaller teams, representing Community Missions, State Missions, North American Missions and International Missions.

Another important part of being an "on-mission" follower of Christ is simply knowing how to share your faith with others. We offer tools and training to anyone interesting in learning how to talk to others about the Gospel.

Disaster Relief Update

  • Moore, OK – KNCSB (Kansas-Nebraska Convention of Southern Baptists) DR (Disaster Relief) sent several three man teams who used a skid loader to remove trees and debris. We were on alert to provide additional support but were not called to do so. There is still much work to be done but KNCSB has ended its DR team deployment to OK for now. DR teams from OK, TX and AK have the needs covered at this time.
  • Missouri - KNCSB DR sent personnel to assess the flooding situation and has promised help if Missouri DR requests it.
  • Colorado - KNCSB DR has been requested to prepare to deploy up to five Ash Out Teams to help with clean up after major wild fires recently and two Shower Units and one Laundry Unit to support the responders. Ash Out experience is not required but orientation and certification as a KNCSB DR volunteer is necessary to serve on one of these teams. Deployment dates, etc. will be posted as they are made available.
