About FSBC

FSBC is On Mission in Topeka and throughout the world.  Expect to discover a welcoming church family passionate about learning to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.

Our mission statement is simple:

“We exist to help people follow Jesus."

Major Ian Thomas said, "The life of a Jesus follower is nothing less than the life Jesus lived then, being lived now through you.”

What does that mean in today's world and in the life of our church at FSBC? It means we strive to live our own lives and point others toward living lives that reflect Jesus, the Son of the living God. Following His footsteps means loving others, even those who may seem unlovable; sharing with and serving those in need; going to the furthest reaches of the world - either in person or through prayer and financial support - to help meet physical and spiritual needs of people everywhere.

What should you expect?

Expect a church striving for sincere worship, offering unique worship experiences for those who do not know Christ, as well as followers on their Christian walk.

We invite you to visit a service this weekend. Expect a comfortable, dress-casual atmosphere. Be sure to stop by our Welcome Center and they will help you find where to go!

Expect to get connected with small group Bible studies with people on all different kinds of journeys through life of their own. You'll find great Bible teaching and engaging conversations. Don't forget to stop by the coffee stand in our library on your way to your small group.

Expect to find children laughing and playing all around. Our children's ministry is central to our mission, which is why we are always offering weekly events and activities for children of all ages. We would love the opportunity to minister to your children and family!

Expect a youth group experience with Bible studies focused on Christ, His life, and how to become better equipped to follow Jesus. Students are encouraged to invite their friends as visitors are always welcome! Students meet in The Peak, a building designed specifically for creating engaging youth worship and learning experiences, located to the south of the main church building.
